Octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, the molecular formula is C₂₁H₄₆NCl.

Physical and chemical properties:

White waxy substance, easily soluble in water, produces a lot of foam when shaken. Good chemical stability, heat resistance, light resistance, pressure resistance, strong alkali and strong acid resistance. Has excellent penetration, softening, antistatic and sterilization properties. It can be well compatible with a variety of surfactants or additives, and the synergistic effect is significant. 

Product use:

Used as a fabric softener to make the fiber bulky and soft to the touch. It is used as a raw material for asphalt emulsification and hair conditioner.
